BIO

Nimish Choubey, professionally known as Sounds of NIK, is an award-winning film composer, sound designer, music producer, and songwriter based in New Delhi, India.

Working at the intersection of cinematic storytelling and modern music production, he creates original scores and immersive sound design for films, animation, advertising, and digital media. His work combines orchestral, electronic, hybrid, and experimental elements to support narrative-driven experiences across a wide range of genres.

His recent credits include the award-winning films AMRIT, ANHAD, and STRT, created in collaboration with The Indie Photographs and XSNRG, as well as the feature-length animated film Laserman & the Eye of Power for Bombay Locale and Allen. His projects have received recognition at national and international festivals, earning awards including Best Cinematic Experience (Mumbai AI Film Festival), Chroma Awards London, Best Horror Film (Los Angeles AI Motion Pictures Awards), Best Storytelling (IAFF), TV9 AI Square Awards, Good Ads Matter Awards, Best Soundtrack (Big Screen Hack Awards), and Best Sound Design at the AI Film Festival Cannes Edition. His work has also been featured by NDTV, Hindustan Times, and TV9, and screened internationally in Malaysia and London.

Beyond film work, Sounds of NIK releases original music spanning cinematic, electronic, ambient, and experimental genres. His releases include the concept albums SPECTRUM and SAMSARA, along with collaborative projects such as the single “Progress.” Through his YouTube channel, which has grown to over 11,000 subscribers, he shares insights into music production, composition, sound design, creative technology, and the evolving entertainment industry.
